The Many vs The Money

The Many vs The Money is a one-day gathering that will be held in Toronto on Saturday, September 12 from 9am-6:30pm at OCAD University at 100 McCaul Street in Toronto.

Since taking office a year ago, Prime Minister Mark Carney has used his political power to take Canada faster and further down the path of corporate rule than many expected. On September 14-15, he is hosting an Investment Summit in Toronto, where he has invited over 100 private investors to browse the sale of public infrastructure like hospitals and airports, housing stock, highways, hydro-dams, the defence industry, and critical minerals. Promising jobs and economic growth, this strategy is the same privatization and austerity agenda in hyper-mode that has been driving the massive and widening income gap for decades.

At the heart of this approach is an attack on Indigenous people and lands, workers, migrants, climate, and our public services. A Peoples’ Counter-Summit: This major mobilization will highlight whose interests Carney is really serving and build unity in action across movements and organizations at this crucial moment. It is being organized by a broad coalition of unions, Indigenous movements, migrant justice organizers, healthcare, education, and public service workers, anti-racist and anti-fascist organizers, climate justice groups, care economy activists, and so many more. Anti-Canada Day Gathering

When: July 1, 2026 at 3pm
Where: Christie Pits, Toronto

Grab your friends, wear your orange shirt and join us to celebrate Indigenous resistance to the new wave of colonialism launched by Prime Minister Banker Daddy’s Bill C-5, Building Canada Act. Dozens of projects have been fast-tracked and dozens of communities impacted by this legislation that is overriding environmental, Indigenous, and labour rights across the country. It is a flood of resource colonialism.

Come out for live music, art for children (and adults), speakers and information tables sharing more about the “Projects of National Interest” that have been selected by the federal government to steamroll ahead. If you, like us, want to see the “National Interest” defined as respecting treaty rights, investing in the care economy, and building a climate-friendly energy policy for all, then you won’t want to miss it.

Fists Up, Fascism Out

When: July 1, 2026 at 1pm
Where: Place du Canada Park, Montreal

We will be marching from Place du Canada to the Premier’s office at 770 Sherbrooke West, Montreal.

Repealing the Building Canada Act is needed as we witness the rise of fascism and the destruction of the environment for AI. This type of extractive capitalism threatens the health of the environment, adds to the ever-growing CO2 emissions from the mining and destruction of Indigenous homelands, and the dangerous use of AI in the genocide in Gaza.

From Gaza to Gitxsan Territory

When: April 17, 6-8pm

Join us Friday April 17th 2026 at 6pm for a hybrid teach-in exploring the new international world order, exemplified by the Board of Peace, versus the world-building links between Indigenous and Palestinian resistance.

Come find out who wants to re-develop real-estate in Gaza, and which of the same billionaire investment companies are involved in so-called British Columbia’s “Projects of National Interest (PONIs),” such as LNG Canada Phase 2 and Ksi Lisims LNG/Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Pipeline (PRGT) (a pipeline running parallel to Coastal Gaslink).

These projects do not have the consent of Gitnayow and Gitxsan Hereditary leadership, who strongly oppose the construction of LNG projects in their traditional territories, just as Palestinians reject the imperial land grab led by the Trump administration.

Draw the Line

We refuse to stand by while the government and Canada’s richest corporations hoard wealth, gut our public services, fuel climate collapse, attack migrants, exploit Indigenous lands, and prop up a genocide.

They think that if they can overwhelm and divide us, we won’t fight back. But climate justice, migrant justice, economic justice, Indigenous rights, and anti-war movements are uniting to prove them wrong.

On Saturday, September 20th, we’re drawing the line—for People. For Peace. For the Planet.

From rallies to strikes, marches to gatherings, this September 20th, communities will mobilize across the country and demand that Prime Minister Carney and the Canadian government pick a side: injustice, violence, and climate destruction—or a just and safe future for all of us.
